Fulfilled..?…!

I’ve been up since 6:30 a.m. working on reports that none of you would be interested in reading, and in between semi-consistent stretches of focus, I go on to Facebook and look at all the fun, inspiring shit y’all are up to and for some reason it made me want to update this here website.
Next week summer will be done, not that I noticed it was ever here. I’ve spent the majority of it inside, working. Which is good…that’s all a freelance worker can ask for. My schedule is basically like this: wake up, dog, freelance work, dog, newsroom gig, dog, sleep. Two days a week I take dog to my office job with the environmental firm, which is fantastic in every way. I’m lucky to work there, not only ’cause it’s dog friendly, but because they’re doing astounding, important work that inspires me every time I go in. So that’s good.  Sometimes I go for a run, or a bike ride, or a yoga class. But honestly, my life is pretty uneventful. Certainly nothing to write home, or blog, about.

That said, I was sure to take photos of things I did that weren’t work-related. Here you go.

I attended my first secret supper. Cozy.

I went to the beach.

Always guaranteed to see hot people there.

I took delight in introducing an out-of-towner to that ice cream place on Venebles with 218 flavours.

I visited a petting zoo. (You still there?)

Richmond Night Market (aka my summer is not complete unless I attend because it’s in the top 10 all time favourite things for me to do in life. You still awake?)

I went to the beach again! Ran into some (topless…not pictured) beach-goers/friends.

Merika was in town from Maui, and made me meet her at an open mic night at a pot cafe. She sang a song that was all about me and my vagina.
Second out of towner I got to bring to the ice cream extravaganza place.

I also met her cheeks, I mean baby, for the first time.

I also went back to the beach – time #3 – and sat there awkwardly.

Time’s up. Back to work. I’m working on a couple of fun piece for the Post that I’ll probably promote once they’re published…but other than that, it’s all work that would not interest any one of you. I’m sure that’ll change in a few months, when things are hopefully more balanced. That’s the goal. Ok, byeee.
